Ready to shoot for a new fundraiser? Why not try a basketball tournament. You can charge an entrance fee or you can offer up advertising from local and national sporting goods stores or apparel. Anyone who may want to sponsor your event. Give the winning team a portion of the funds that you raise and perhaps a nice trophy. You can make it an annual event and as the years progress, I’m sure you’ll get more sponsors as well and more entrants.

Utilizing the power of the Internet is one sure fire way to raise funds whether it be short-term or long-term. There are a number of companies that offer affiliate income (think Amazon) that you can sign up for free. There are also companies that require you to make a purchase to become an affiliate. You can search for affiliate programs or go to sites such as Click Bank or Commission Junction and take a look at what’s available.

What type of events do you host as fundraisers? If the answer is none then you may want to rethink that. I’m not saying you need a black tie gala but what about a magic show? You can check in Craigslist or ask family and friends who knows a decent magician and start calling to find what they charge. If you live in a small town you may have to look to the metro area you lice closest to but you should not have to pay for travel expenses.

You can mail or email some great information to keep people up to date on your organization. If you don’t have enough content, look on the Internet for interesting things you can add. You could do weekly, monthly or even quarterly.
