It takes a lot of discipline to work from home. Make sure you can handle the isolation, even if you do get to talk on the phone. Be honest with yourself and your new employer - if you take a regular job about the hours you will be available. If you need to put in 8 hous a day ask if it is ok if it takes you 10-12 hours so that you can have breaks to tend to young children if need be. It can take a while to get used to a new shcedule but you and your children will be in the routine after a couple of short months if you stick to a schedule. You my want to track what hours you truly have available in your schedule before you decide to take a job from home. You may find that you can only do part-time or that you need more flexibility such as a contractor freelance position. Don't give up. there are many otions to choose from.
